In December Dave Schmidt, a deacon at Florence Boulevard church, Florence, Ala., taught extensive courses for the Myanmar Bible School. He reported high interest among students and guests at the school, even though the government restricts Christian activity in this Buddhist nation. The school is overseen by the Double Springs, Ala., church. Small congregations initiated in homes following World War II still meet, Schmidt added.
