Video: Ukrainian boy teaches Bible lesson with a glass of water — in public school

Last year our post about a 9-year-old boy in Arkansas summarizing what he learned through daily Bible reading got a lot of attention — 46 comments and nearly 300,000 views. Now, a video produced by Eastern European Mission shows that children’s knowledge of God’s love isn’t limited to the United States.

Video: A-maize-ing church growth in Malawi

Members of the Green Valley Church of Christ in Noblesville, Ind., traveled to the southern African nation of Malawi recently to see firsthand the progress of the work in Dedza, a community in the country’s Central Region, just north of Mozambique. Members of the Green Valley church support The Malawi Project, a nonprofit that partners with Malawians in medical and developmental projects.

Video: Members of Alabama church destroyed by tornado ‘pay it forward’ by helping Hurricane Isaac victims

The Central Church of Christ in Tuscaloosa, Ala. — victims of a devastating tornado that destroyed its building last year — decided to show appreciation for the help it received. A group from Central traveled to LaPlace, La., this past weekend to “pay it forward” by working with disaster relief volunteers — including Disaster Assistance CoC — who are serving in the wake of Hurricane Isaac.

Oklahoma Christian University receives $1 million gift for scholarships, campus improvements

Jill and Cary Brown of Midland, Texas, have given Oklahoma Christian University $1 million to fund student scholarships and renovate OC’s historic Benson Hall, President John deSteiguer announced Tuesday.

Video of flash mob at Christian school: Watch it maybe

At the recent Back-to-School Bash at Columbia Academy, a Tennessee school associated with Churches of Christ, about 150 students, teachers and parents surprised the crowd with a “flash mob.” The performance was set to the tune of the hit pop song “Call Me Maybe.”
