In the current economy, we're seeing more and more requests for funds to help with medical needs — internationally and domestically — and we simply don't have the space to feature them all. The print issue that should be arriving in mailboxes now has an editorial in which we try to explain this. (We even make mention of Edisson's situation. When we post that editorial online, I'll make sure to include a link to Edisson's website.) The best thing anyone can do in this situation is what you have done — get a sponsoring congregation to take up funds and put together a website. That allows us to post links easily and direct people to a church (instead of a person) for the purpose of sending funds.
