NewsChannel 4 in Oklahoma City reports:

OKLAHOMA CITY — Thursday will mark 17 years since the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Downtown Oklahoma City was bombed.

In remembrance of that historic event, an Oklahoma University is flying special flags over their campus.

If you drive down Memorial Road east of Boulevard this week you’re likely not going to miss the field of flags.

They’ve been set up in remembrance of the events of April 19, 1995.

John DeSteiguer, with Oklahoma Christian University, said, “We have an American flag and an Oklahoma flag placed for each of those that lost their life in the bombing.”

There are 168 American flags and another 168 Oklahoma flags proudly waving at those on and off of the campus of Oklahoma Christian University.
