Jim Springer, missionary to Germany, dies at 64
BREMEN, GERMANY - James Harold “Jim” Springer, who served for 34 years as a missionary in Germany, died Oct. 9. He was 64. He trained at Preston Road School of Preaching in Dallas and earned a master’s from Harding University Graduate School of Religion in Memphis, Tenn., before returning with his wife to Germany in 1973. He preached and taught Bible classes for the Bremen church until cancer claimed his life.

Springer developed a training program he called Evangelism Training and Media. Christians throughout German-speaking Europe use the program.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, six grandchildren, his mother, his brother and his sister.
