For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God." His speech persuaded them. They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name. Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah."

As a Harding College graduate (1974) and member of the "movement" from 1978-85 in Kansas City. I have been in therapy for 10 years seeking help for the damage/abuse done to me by ICOC. They refused and accused me of horrible thoughts. I am gay, having been celibate for a lifetime, that made no difference. I was required to live in an attic where I was LOCKED into each night. I was shamed, talked down to, had no respect, was considered evil. I finally left in total shame. I do not want to hear of their now awareness of the evils they put on people. They who did these terrible things to me and hundreds of others have NO RIGHT to be in any position of authority or leadership.

I lead an ICOC sector in Brazil. I realize the ICOC turning to the theology of the mainline churches. I don't know if is good. Many confusion have between us about it. Some members fell away because are so confused: Lukewarmness or true teaching?

Recently, the ICOC Ghana celebrated their 20th anniversary,the attendance was mind blowing, other West African Churches were represented. The atmosphere,the singing and the fellowship reminded me of the early Church(Acts 2:42-47)am priviledged to be in Ghana for the celebration and still feel at home.Let's continue the brotherly love,am happy that I'm a Member of World One Big Family.

As a member of an ICOC congregation who is trying to keep up with goings-on throughout the entire Restoration Movement, I was very encouraged to see this article in The Chronicle. I pray that our fellowships can learn from each other, grow together, and become perfectly united, as Jesus called us to be!
