Wife’s illness draws responses

My husband has gone through similar things with Myasthenia gravis. We almost lost him two-and-a-half years ago. He came out of intensive care telling everyone to trust in the Lord no matter what. We are trusting and sharing more than ever. May God bless you as you encourage others.

Directory change appreciated

In March 2009 the Chronicle published my letter that was critical of 21st Century Christian’s decision to remove from its 2009 directory those congregations which had begun instrumental assemblies in addition to their a cappella worship services.

It is fitting now to congratulate the publisher for changes to the 2012 edition ("Churches with instrumental services return to directory"). They deserve thanks for restoring, as I wrote in 2009, “such a valuable aid to members and a great record of our history — rather than trying to determine that history.”
