Very sad to see the drop off of members in the Church of Christ. What leaders and preachers no longer understand is that most of the congregations have become 501c3 corporation churches. This puts the state the master not our Lord.

I believe research shows that in the United States 95% of the people who call themselves christians become what they call christian before the age of 25-years of age. That tells us either the Word of God, the Sword of the Spirit, the Gospel etc has little influence on thinking adults or those who call themselves christians are not taking the Word of God etc to the lost. Jesus tell us there are folks who believe they are saved believe they are following Jesus but that he will say he never knew them. You probably agree could means me or some other individual but it also means you. Instead of taking the Good News we want government and courts to enforce our beliefs upon others.

Let us take these statistics and do something about it. We need to start showing more love and become a church of doers so that others may see Christ through our love and actions. I believe that we are becoming too comfortable with sitting back and believing that we are Christians if we come to church and do nothing else. Lets get up and take this world, shake it up, and change these statistics for the Lord. Jesus did not die on the cross so that we could close ourselves off to all the billions of souls who need his saving message.
