MALIBU, CALIF. - The Christian Chronicle honored Dan and Katherine Cooper with the Christian Service Award at the recent Pepperdine University Bible Lectures.
The Coopers have served Churches of Christ in New Jersey since 1973. For 27 years, Dan has preached for the Pitman Church of Christ.
Emily Lemley, a Chronicle trustee, presented the honor.
“Dan and Katherine have modeled commitment in ministry, marriage, evangelism and spiritual mentoring and in their love for the Lord, his church and all people,” the award plaque said.
The Pitman church recently celebrated the opening of its new, 28,000-square-foot building.
