Charles Riley, 81, had memories of the Grant Street church in Decatur, Ala.,that he could not bear to forget.
So Riley, a part of the congregation for 75 years, recorded his recollections — and those of other members — and gathered hundreds of photos, records and documents, The Decatur Daily reported.
The result: a 329-page hardback book, “Gathering 100 Years of History: Grant Street Church of Christ, Decatur, Alabama.”
