Campaign 2008 coverage reveals political differences
As a former journalist, I thought the political articles (Pages 1, 15, 19, May) were very well balanced and presented an overall view of a brotherhood that is, not so surprisingly, pretty divided politically.

Perhaps one thing you might have been able to do is measure support for each candidate by demographic — age, income or geography.

As we all know, God is in control and both political parties are riddled with graft, corruption and deceit.

Still, it is imperative that God’s people support those who do make the claim that they will protect our religious freedom, the sanctity of life and God’s view of marriage and moral values.

Readers contributed thousands to North Dakota family

We were delighted to see the article about the Adams Family in your May edition (Page 31). We thought readers may be interested in an update on the Adamses’ situation.

Dean and Sherry Adams and all of us who love them are extremely thankful for the generosity of all who have given so much and those who have prayed for this deserving couple.

Those of us in the small churches scattered through the northern states and Canada appreciate the great service the Chronicle provides.

The opportunity to make our needs known as well as to be encouraged by all the good things being done by God’s people around the world is indeed a blessing.

Lord’s Supper photo essay appreciated

The feature on “sweet communion” (Page 20, May) is very nicely done. And it meshed well with something our congregation does on the final Sunday of each month — we totally focus the morning assembly around the Lord’s Supper.

Thanks for coverage of 64th National Lectureship

I read the article regarding the National Lectureship and the “Wounded Healers” ministry that I am involved in with Dr. David Lane (Page 3, May). It was a really good article and I thank you for taking time to share the information with the world.
