Reactions to the Bailey Obituary
You did a remarkable job of reporting my father's (J.C. Bailey) life in the
obituary and in the extended coverage that was on the Internet. Our family
received dozens of letters and cards from people who learned of my father's
death by reading the Chronicle. Several remarked how they appreciated the
extended coverage that was on your web page.
I thank you on behalf of my
family.

I was shocked
when I read the “short version” obituary of brother J. C. Bailey in the August
2001 issue of the Christian Chronicle! The full and rich story that was missed
by the thousands of readers that will not read it since it was pushed over in
the ( go see the web site ) was sad. Brother Bailey is such a great example for
the Brotherhood. He is what the church is missing today--- Apostolic evangelism,
sacrifice, courage, faith, and Godliness. It is interesting to note that the
article next to J.C. Bailey’s obituary was six times larger, and it was
reporting about a Minister of a local congregation being arrested for a felony!
