Maternity home has grand opening
CHRISTIAN SERVICES OF OKLAHOMA

The Helen Priest Home for Children on the Way, Edmond, Okla., hosted a grand opening and open house Dec. 5, said Devonne Carter, executive director, Christian Services of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City.

Women of Edmond’s Westwood church decorated the home for the event.

Use of the home and its six-acre tract was donated anonymously.

The facility opened in May, Carter said.

Ministry leader talk-show guest
FAMILY DYNAMICS

P24_JoeBeam_sJoe Beam, president of Family Dynamics, Nashville, Tenn., spoke on marriage as a guest on the Montel Show Dec. 15, said Wade Jackson, ministry spokesman.

Family Dynamics received more than 1,000 phone calls in response to the appearance. More than 4,5000 more people than typical visited a ministry Web site, www.SaveMyMarriage.com, after the airing.

Online program posts record enrollment
NATIONS UNIVERSITY

A record number of 2,403 students from 92 nations were enrolled for study through NationsUniversity, Nashville, Tenn., in December, said Ken Johnson, president.

Nations provides distance learning education in Bible and related subjects.

The record count includes 37 students from Global Mission Outreach (GMO), a distance-learning Bible school in Africa, which merged with Nations in recent months. GMO was led most recently by Thayer Salisbury.
