Cozumel mission gets a boatload of support
During one of its many visits to the island of Cozumel, Mexico, the crew of the Rhapsody of the Seas had some friends over for lunch.
On Dec. 19 the crew of the Royal Caribbean International vessel entertained the 17 children housed at Ciudad de Angeles and gave them a check that was big in terms of size and amount $10,000.
The children had a wonderful outing and everyone received a wonderful blessing, including those giving the gift, administrator Gary Gardner told the Chronicle.
Supported by several churches of Christ in the Atlanta area, Ciudad de Angeles currently rents two houses for the children, but plans to build a facility to house more than 150 children in the future, Gardner said. The ministrys Web site is www.ciudaddeangeles.org.
