About 80 teenagers attend event


Teens at the Mid-Atlantic Youth Forum at Camp Wamava, near Front Royal, Va., nailed their lives’ resolutions to a cross erected at the site.

About 80 teenagers attended the event, said Jerrold Mathis of the Silver Spring church and director of the event. The event’s theme was “Bare Necessities.”

Richard Ridgeway, Front Royal, Va., was the guest speaker. Class teachers were Bill Powell, Warrenton, Va.; Tim Danley, Bowie, Md.; Gary Selby, Columbia, Md.; and Jody Venkatesan, Phil Bryan and Erik Brandt, all of Silver Spring.
