McMillon is dean of the College of Biblical Studies at Oklahoma Christian University, where he has served in faculty and administrative positions for more than 40 years. He is a licensed professional counselor, specializing in marriage and family therapy.
An elder at the Memorial Road church, he and his wife, Joy, a Chronicle associate editor, have been married for 44 years. They have two sons and five grandchildren.
