Colombia youth camp has international appeal

In four years the Colombian National Youth Camp in Medellin, Colombia, has grown from 90 to 190 participants.

It also has become an international event.

Youths at this year’s camp attended from Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Venezuela. Speakers were Juan Jose Flores from Quito, Ecuador; Jonathan Hanegan from Caracas, Venezuela; Jorge Mercado from Pilar, Argentina; Carlos Escobar from Santa Marta, Colombia; Alberto Castaneda from Pereira, Colombia; Darwin Mendez from San Andres Island, Colombia; Carlos Roldan from Medellin; and Jose Santoyo from Puerto la Cruz, Venezuela.

In 2011 the National Youth Camp will take place in Colombia’s capital, Bogota.

More than 500 church members are expected for the National Conference of Churches of Christ in Colombia, April 1-4, in Pereira.
