African community, near Cape Town, trying to enroll their children.
The church serves free meals, made with food provided by ministries including Breedlove Foods Inc., along the streets of its community twice each week, minister Mervyn Pasqualle said.
Many of the people served stand in South Africa’s blazing heat, hoping to be hired for short-term labor. “The economy is bad and there is no work, so we try to feed the body before we feed the souls,” he said.
